Unilever AGM - advertising compilation

In May 2006, I created a video for Unilever's AGM: a compilation of over 100 adverts in less than a minute and a half.

Gartner SymposiumITXpo Cannes 2004 - crew video

Every November Gartner, a computer consultancy, puts on a 6 day conference for over 6,000 businesspeople from all over Europe in Cannes at the Palais de Festival. At the end of the event a party is thrown for the 120-150 staff who put the event on. At this party a video is played to show how much fun people had and how much work was done.

I shot and edited the video on site using a DV camera and Final Cut Pro. Gartner chose the music track for me to use. To make the video stand out from previous years, I took the song lyrics, printed them out in a random order and asked the crew to pick a line and say it into the camera. Only one person recognised the song from the lyrics. I took their readings and sped them up or down to create some sort of lipsync.

As I had also created the animation that opened each days sessions, I added a modified version to the start of the video.

Gartner EXP Forum Barcleona 2005 - conference video

This event was for 150 board-level businesspeople. This video was shown at the last session of this 2 day event. The object of the conference was to get these people talking to each other. The video was designed to show the sessions people attended, the evening meal at a local winery but primarily people talking to each other.
